Over/Under Betting

One particularly simple bet that you may wish to opt for, which has pretty much 50/50 probability, is Over/Under betting. This style of bet was traditionally based upon the score of a football match.

To some, it might seem a little bit confusing, as the selections are decimalised. By that, we mean that the bet is displayed as Over/Under 1.5 goals, or 2.5/3.5/4.5 etc.overunder betting

For instance, if you were to choose a football game, such as England vs. France, you might opt to bet that there will be over 2.5 goals, and by that it means that the entire game must have at least 3 (more than 2.5) goals or more. Or, if you were to bet under 2.5 goals, then the game would have to have 2 goals or less. Obviously the goal amounts needed would vary depending on which denomination you choose, i.e. 2.5/3.5/4.5 etc., and so too would your pay-out odds as well, based on the likelihood of the outcome.

Now, where over and under markets were nearly always based on scores in football games, they have now been applied to various other sports and other types too, such as the number of corners, and the number of red or yellow cards within football.

It’s a great style of bet, which can be placed by beginner and professional bettors alike, and it’s one that is proving exceptionally popular, and is showing no signs of slowing!
